I understand the whole 'Thou shalt test the Lord Thy God' declaration, but I think the Pray at the Pump organization should at least continue to observe the implications of the Lord Thy God by agreeing to pray for a certain period of time that gas prices go up. Then (since they can), Pray at the Pump should pray for gas prices to go back down. If that works, then I think they have something...
